I have been to the shops and got all my ingredients and will be making a batch of pumpkin soup up tomorrow. I also have bought the makings for Olga's Okroshka and will test drive the recipe. I am substituting ginger beer for the kvass (a slightly alcoholic fermented grain drink). I may also try making another batch up based on apple cider. The meat I will be using will be a small quantity of chicken breast in small slivers. Will report back later how the cook up went.
I have no doubts the pumpkin soup will be superb as always. As I said previously, this is without doubt, the very, very best pumpkin soup I have eaten anywhere.
One thing though, if anyone does try any of the recipes here, not that we have all that many to choose from as yet, then post how it went for you and whether any problems came up or if you altered any of the ingredients or methods. Its nice to have a bit of feed back about your favourite recipes.
